A Brownsville mother and man she asked to babysit her three boys are both behind bars on child endangerment charges.

Brownsville police arrested both Aja Cook and Noe Flores on three counts of child endangerment.

Police told Action 4 News that they were called to the 3000 block of South Buckingham Court on Tuesday.

Neighbors told police that three boys were out in the streets -- two of them were fully nude while and one only wearing a T-shirt.

Investigators told Action 4 News that the boys were 1-, 2- and 3-years-old.

Officers allegedly found 46-year-old Flores drunk inside the home.

Cook returned home where she told officers that she went with a friend to McAllen to deliver a cake.

The 27-year-old mother allegedly told officers that Flores was a friend and that she left her three sons with him even though she knew he had been drinking.

The two remain in the Brownsville City Jail where they are expected to be transferred to the Cameron County Jail.

Action 4 News will post updates as more information becomes available.
