Border Patrol agents told Action 4 News that they seized more than $1.5 million dollars worth of marijuana from an apartment complex in Escobares.
Authorities said a suspicious vehicle was spotted leaving the banks of the Rio Grande in a rural area of Starr County on Wednesday morning.
Border Patrol agents spotted a vehicle matching the description entering the parking lot of an apartment complex in Escobares.
The vehicle fled the scene as Border Patrol agents approached.
Border Patrol agents told Action 4 News that they found large bundles of marijuana near the entrance of an apartment with several more bundles inside.
Authorities seized 253 bundles with 1,908 pounds of marijuana from the crime scene.
