A Mission man is behind bars after being accused of using his mobile home as a stash house for illegal immigrants.

Federal authorities charged Ruben Ronzon-Castro on harboring illegal immigrant charges over the holiday weekend.

A tip led U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents to his mobile home off Trosper Road in Mission.

ICE agents reported finding five illegal immigrants from Guatemala, Honduras and Mexico inside his home.

The Mission man made told investigators that he got paid $10 dollars per immigrant per day.

Authorities believe he’s housed over 90 illegal immigrants over the past six months.

Ronzon-Castro appeared before U.S Magistrate Court Judge Dorina Ramos on Monday.

Judge Ramos denied bond for Ronzon-Castro until a Wednesday morning hearing.
