Former Hidalgo County Elections Administrator Teresa Navarro took a plea deal during a Monday morning court hearing.
Navarro and three of her former employees were arrested on corruption charges last year.
The four were accused of various criminal charges ranging from theft by a public servant, engaging in organized criminal activity and tampering with a government document.
Prosecutors alleged that she and others charged rentals for personal use on the county dime.
Navarro appeared in court on Monday morning where pleaded guilty to five out of 12 counts filed against hear.
The former elections administrator agreed to take 10 years probation and pay $15,000 dollars in restitution.
