Rivera HS students jailed for lewd conduct

Two Rivera High School students spent part of Wednesday in the Brownsville City Jail after being accused in a lewd conduct case.

A Brownsville ISD police officer arrested Jorge Diaz and Liliana Cervantes under lewd conduct charges.

Details were not available but a school district spokeswoman said the two were allegedly caught in the act by a hall monitor.

Both students are 17 years old and in the 11th grade.
