A Reynosa man is behind bars after authorities allegedly found $1.9 million dollars worth of cocaine hidden inside his truck.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers arrested Luis Carlos Luna-Romo on federal drug charges over the weekend.

Luna-Romo drove up to the Hidalgo-Reynosa International Bridge in a 1992 Chevrolet pickup truck.

Customs officers allegedly found 25 bundles with 60 pounds of cocaine hidden in the rear wall of the truck’s cab.

The 18-year-old Reynosa man appeared before U.S. Magistrate Court Judge Peter Ormsby in McAllen on Monday.

Judge Ormsby denied bond for Luna-Romo until Thursday morning hearing.
