Two McAllen men are facing federal charges after being indicted in a drug and money laundering case from Houston.
Federal prosecutors in Houston announced indictment and the arrests of three out of four suspects on Wednesday.
The Houston indictment accuses the following four men of earning millions of dollars moving marijuana and cocaine from Texas to Tennessee:
- Abelardo Guerra, 37
- Jose Luis Gutierrez, 51

Authorities identified Canales as a 45-year-old man from McAllen. Canales remains in federal custody in El Paso for his alleged role in the case.
Prosecutors told Action 4 News that Zavala is also from McAllen but remains a fugitive in the case.
According to the indictment, prosecutors are asking to seize $1.2 million dollars in alleged drug proceeds as well as home and property in Hockley, Texas.
