BASTROP, TEXAS (AP) -- Two inmates with drug-related convictions have fled from a federal prison facility about 30 miles southeast of Austin.
The Federal Correctional Institution in Bastrop was where 52-year-old Leandro Luna of San Angelo and 53-year-old Adan Chavez of Edinburg were held.
Federal Bureau of Prisons spokeswoman Felicia Ponce said Monday that both men remained at large.
Luna and Chavez were discovered missing Friday from a low-security area of the prison.
Luna was in prison since 2006, serving a decade-long term for importing marijuana.
Prison officials believe he was spotted Friday night in Austin, where he has family.
Chavez was imprisoned since 1990, serving a 30-year sentence for cocaine and weapon convictions.
