BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS -- A Cameron County man convicted of murder faces life in prison.

Earlier this week, a Cameron County jury found Efrain Puente guilty of killing Francisco Losoya in what authorities called a crime of passion.

Investigators said Puente stabbed Losoya to death in May of 2008 because Losoya was at Puente's wife's home in El Ranchito.

The sentencing phase continues Thursday.
