Kansas City victim may have Valley ties

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI -- Rio Grande Valley law enforcement have started a search for the family of a man killed recently in Kansas City, Missouri.

Antonio Salazar Perales died September 4th when he was hit by a car as he was crossing the street in northeast Kansas City.

The driver was a police officer in an unmarked police unit.

Authorities have not been able to find any relatives of Perales in Missouri and believe he may have family in the McAllen, Texas, area.

Authorities are unsure of his exact age.

He is between 78 and 82 years old.
