Local Sheriff’s Department Jailer Sits Behind Bars

An employee with the Cameron County Sheriff’s Department is arrested in Brownsville.

Police said Christopher Aldrete was arguing with his estranged wife about belongings and apparently things got out of hand.

When police arrived, they noticed visible marks on Aldrete’s wife’s neck whose six months pregnant.
 
This happened in the 3200 block of Obsidian Drive in Brownsville just before 10 p.m. Sunday night.

Aldrete was charged with family violence.

The 25-year-old is a jailer for the Sheriff’s Department.
