Rio Grande Valley parents are turning to Action 4 News concerned about a speech planned for students by President Barack Obama.

Action 4 News has received e-mails and phone calls from parents supporting and against the president's speech being shown in the classroom.

San Benito Consolidated Independent School District is among several Valley school districts planning to show the speech.

Superintendent Antonio Limon told Action 4 News that parents have their children placed in an alternative activitty for them to do instead of watching the speech.
