Authorities are search for three men after they allegedly posed as FBI agents during an early Wednesday morning home invasion.

Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office deputies told Action 4 News that incident happened around 12:09 a.m. Wednesday.

Deputies said three armed and maked men allegedly stormed a home off Tia Maria and Mile 2 West outside Mercedes.

The three masked men allegedly identified themselves in English as FBI agents.

One of them allegedly pistol-whipped 35-year-old Juan Perez on the top of his head.

Investigators told Action 4 News that the men took off in Perez’s green 2003 BMW SUV, three sets of keys and two cell phones.

Deputies said the men entered the home through the garage.
