Weslaco announces 'Five Most Wanted' list

WESLACO -- Several fugitives who are considered armed and dangerous have become the Weslaco Police Department's "Five Most Wanted" criminals.

Weslaco Police Chief Jose Perez said Ray Vincent Vallejo, Jose Isaias Zapata Gonzalez, Manuel Enrique Lopez Garcia, Jose Antonio Sanchez Zapata and Francisco Javier Gonzalez Rivera, are all wanted on capital murder charges.

The alleged crimes took place between August 2008 and August 2009.

Ray Vincent Vallejo is a suspect in a home invasion at 1814 W. 6th, on June 21st 2009, that left Donna Lee Bocanegra dead and her mother critically injured.

Police say Zapata, Lopez and Sanchez are wanted for the shooting death of 14-year-old Roberto Castro at Murphy USA gas station on august 23, 2008.

Francisco Gonzalez allegedly murdered 59-year-old Eduardo Cruz at his home at 811 South Oregon, on July 13, 2008.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of these suspects are urged to call Weslaco police at (956) 968-TIPS (8477).
