A man accused of having sex with a 10-year-old girl he met at the mall faced a judge and got 50 years in prison for a probation violation in an old case.
Rolando Saucedo was arrested last week and charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child.
Brownsville police said Saucedo was found in the bed of a 10-year-old Brownsville girl he met at the mall.
An Action 4 Investigation first revealed that Saucedo was on out on probation in another child sex case at the time of his arrest.
Court records show Saucedo received probation for the aggravated sexual assault of 13-year-old Laguna Vista girl in 2005.
Cameron County District Attorney's Office prosecutors filed a probation violation against Saucedo in December.
Saucedo allegedly admitted to moving to Arkansas without notifying his probation officer and failed to attend a sex offender class.
Action 4 News learned that 138th state District Court Judge Arturo Nelson allowed him to remain free while the case was reset numerous times over the past several months.
Saucedo appeared before Judge Nelson on Tuesday morning where prosecutors said they were finally able to ask for prison time for the probation violation.
Judge Nelson sentenced to 50 years during the Tuesday morning hearing.
