Parents across the Rio Grande Valley are scrambling to meet new state vaccination guidelines for the 2009-2010 school year.

State guidelines have changes for the following vaccines:

  • Hepatitis A
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
  • Maricella
  • Tetanus, Diptheria & Acellular Pertusis (Tdap)
  • Meningococcal

County clinics are reporting a "rush" of young patients receiving vaccinations.
