Indian Police Chief, John Chambers, is fighting back about allegations that he bruised up a community member.
76-year-old Eurline Atkins told Action 4 News that last month, cameras caught Chambers bruising her up during a town hall meeting after her 3 minutes were up in the podium.
Chambers refused any claims of wrong doing and said the bad press by Atkins has really hurt him.
The Chief has filed a lawsuit against the 76-year-old woman.
He claimed that her statements were defamatory and falsely alleged him of using excessive force.
Chief Chambers said that this has not only ruined his reputation, but put his job in jeopardy.
Chambers' Attorney, Peter Zavaleta, claimed that Atkins is simply out to get his client and has Indian Lake residents written statements to prove it.
