San Benito manhunt called off

An intense manhunt in the Iowa Gardens neigbhorhood outside San Benito has been called off.

Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) state troopers told Action 4 News that the search started with an attempt to recover a stolen vehicle Wednesday morning.

State troopers said the suspect bailed out of the stolen vehicle in the Iowa Gardens neighborhood outside San Benito.

Authorities sealed off the area while the DPS helicopter was called to search the area.

Investigators told Action 4 News that the search has been called off.
