Early morning expressway wreck in Weslaco

An auto accident forced police to temporarily shut down part of U.S. Expressway 83 in Weslaco early Monday morning.

Weslaco police told Action 4 News vehicle rear-ended a parked car on the eastbound Texas Avenue exit around 4 a.m. Monday.

Police shut down the exit while they authorities cleared the scene.

No major injuries were reported.

Authorities reopened the expressway around 6 a.m. Monday.
