Teen's drowning death in McCook ruled accidental

MCCOOK, TEXAS -- Hidalgo County Sheriff's investigators have ruled the drowning death of a 16-year-old boy in McCook accidental.

Authorities recovered Israel Infante's body Tuesday afternoon from a retention pond on Mile 14 North and Moorefield Road.

Hidalgo County Sheriff Lupe Treviño said no one will be charged.

Infante was swimming with friends and family when he went under and drowned.
