Action 4 News told the story of disabled vet David Guzman earlier this week.
Guzman sustained extensive injuries to his leg and hip from a roadside bomb explosion under his Army vehicle in Iraq.
The Rio Grande Valley vet uses a Segway because it allows him to stand up while moving.
Guzman told Action 4 News that his injuries don't allow him to walk or remain seated for long periods of time.
The disabled vet claims mall cops from both La Plaza Mall in McAllen and the Outlet Mall in Mercedes ordered him to leave while he shopped with his wife and two children.
The South Texas Civil Rights Project filed a lawsuit against Simon Property Group and Chelsea Property Group on his behalf.
The group believes this is a clear violation of laws to protect the handicapped.
The story received numerous comments and now Action 4 News has posted a full, unedited copy of Guzman's lawsuit.
