Fire officials have launched an investigation to figure out what started a blaze at an apartment complex in Alton Monday morning.

The fire started at around 2:30 a.m. at 4917 North Dolphin Street near Mile 4 Line.

The Alton, Palmview and Mission Fire Departments all worked to put out the flames until around 5 a.m. Monday.

The complex was vacant at the time of the fire.

Officials did not release the name of the complex.

No one was injured.
