Free movie in the park on Saturday in McAllen

MCALLEN, TEXAS -- Time Warner Cable and the City of McAllen Parks and Recreation Department are sponsoring the popular “Movie in the Park” Saturday, July 18.

The city is holding a free screening of the hit, “Journey to the Center of the Earth in 3-D” at Archer Park located at 101 Broadway.

Activities start at 7:00 p.m. and the movie begins at 8:30 p.m. or sunset.

The movie event will also feature a kid’s mini-festival, a moon bounce, games and give-a-ways.

The City of McAllen Parks and Recreation Department will also provide concessions.

The last “Movie in the Park” event will take place in McAllen July 25, featuring “Nacho Libre” at Archer Park.
