SULLIVAN CITY, TEXAS -- A traffic stop in Sullivan City turned into a short police chase on Tuesday.
In the dash cam video released by police, you can see the driver hesitated to stop.
He finally pulled over, but took off running and left behind 521 pounds of marijuana in the truck.
The suspect got away.
"The governor has put money in the budget for overtime to try to apprehend and seize as much drugs as possible," said Investigator Eloy Treviño.
Treviño said with the additional money, Sullivan City police can afford to have more officers patrol the streets.
