Peñitas woman stabbed at store

Authorities are searching for a knife-wielding suspect after he allegedly stabbed a Peñitas woman at a rural convenience store.

Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office deputies said the incident happened at the "What's Up Store" off Tom Gill Road around 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

Paramedics were called to the scene.

The woman's condition remains unknown.

Investigators have not released any information about the suspects.
