BROWNSVILLE -- Hurricane Season in full swing Home Depot is trying to keep people informed.

Home Depot put on a Hurricane Expo in Brownsville to educate the community on the importance of being prepared.

They said the worst thing someone can do is not prepare in advance something that often happens.

"Since we live in the Gulf area and we've been hit by hurricanes in the past a lot of people wait until the last minute.

We want to show them you have to be prepared."

This is the first of several more expos that home depot will host.
