Even with many legislatures calling this session a transition one, because of new leadership, they were still able to accomplish great things for the state and most importantly the valley.

One of those successes is getting a Regional Medical School for the valley.

The school will not only bring opportunity for valley resisdents, but will also help spur our economy.

"The administration, doctors, students...they all stay and live within miles of that particular instituation. So you have people buying homes, apartments...eating in our restaurants and shopping in our malls. It's a big economic driver," said State Representative Sen. Eddio Lucio III.

Lucio goes on to say that they will be going back into special session Wednesday to tie up some loose ends.
