An investigation of a drug smuggling ring led authorities to a Mission home where two bedrooms were filled with marijuana.

The Hidalgo County District Attorney's Office told Action 4 News that their narcotics officers led a search of a home on the 2100 block of East 29th Street in Mission.

Authorities around dozens and dozens of bundles of marijuana stacked almost to the ceiling in two bedrooms.

Investigators said they seized a total of 4,700 pounds of marijuana from the home.

Officials said a Mexican national was arrested.

Charges against him are pending while an investigation into the drug smuggling ring's activities continues.
