EDINBURG -- Dozens of firefighters from Mexico, Central and South America are in the Rio Grande Valley for a training program at the Edinburg firefighter's training facilities.

The training seminar covers things like getting victims out of vehicles and handling crash scenes.

Visiting firefighters also learn how to use life-saving tools, like the jaws of life.

"They'll be out here again Friday in the smoke house so we can teach them certain techniques on how to use the hoses, the air packs, how to extinguish fires inside the homes and how to ventilate inside the homes," said McAllen Lt. Tony Nelson.
