Police chase ends in fatal rollover

PALMVIEW, TEXAS -- A Sullivan City police chase ended in a fatal rollover on Expressway 83 in the Palmview area.

The accident happened near Showers Road around 3 a.m. Thursday.

Sullivan City police said they tried to pull over a Chevy Cobalt, but the driver took off and headed east on Expressway 83.

The driver somehow lost control of the vehicle and flipped it several times.

The driver was killed.

The identity of the driver has not been released.
