The comissioner race in San Benito featured a newcomer up against a long-time incumbent for place 4.
SAN BENITO --
Incumbent Celeste Sanchez was confident throughout the race and beat out Mario Medrano with 58 percent of the vote.
"The next step is to continue what I've been doing, continue serving the city and continue making responsible decisions to make San Benito the best place to live" said Sanchez.
"I thought we did what we needed to do," said Medrano. "I think the community wanted a change and obviously it didn't happen."
