An Iraqi war veteran has been arrested in a deadly stabbing.
Omar Vasquez was escorted into an Edinburg courtroom in handcuffs and a bulletproof vest on Thursday.
Vasquez surrendered to Edinburg police on Thursday for allegedly murdering Eduardo Medellin.
Witnesses say the two were arguing and got into a fight.
Vasquez allegedly got a knife and began stabbing Medellin in his chest.
The Iraqi war veteran allegedly even chased Medellin down when he tried to get away.
Medellin died of his injuries.
A municipal judge set bond for vasquez is set at a $500,000 dollars.
