EDINBURG, TEXAS -- Rio Grande Valley parents reunited with the heroes who saved their babies lives.
The Women's Hospital Intensive Care Unit in Edinburg held a reunion on Saturday for families who haven't seen the doctors and nurses since they left the hospital.
The ICU helps premature babies overcome the odds, giving them the best care possible.
"I think it's great, it gives us a chance to reconnect with old friendships that we had with the nurses while they were taking care of her, and the doctors, too, they do a really good job here," said Richard Herrera, father of a premature baby.
The hospital plans to have a reunion every year.
