A man accused of helping to smuggle three Iraqi nationals across the U.S/Mexico border is headed back to a McAllen courtroom on Tuesday.
Border Patrol agents arrested Juan de Dios Martinez-Vela and three Iraqi immigrants during an alleged March 12th smuggling incident near Los Ebanos.
Martinez-Vela and the immigrants have been in custody since that time.
Federal court officials told Action 4 News that Martinez-Vela is expected to appear before U.S. Magistrate Judge Dorina Ramos on Tuesday morning.
The Sullivan City man is expected to ask Judge Ramos for a bond.
