The Palmer Drug Abuse Program received a $12,000 donation on Thursday.
TXU Energy donated the proceeds of it's Rio Grande Valley Fiesta Marathon to the non-profit organization.
The goal is to help local kids sober up.
Those at the Palmer Drug Abuse Center said the money is serving a great purpose.
"It feels extremely great to be able to keep the doors open for our clients," said program director Fidencio Mercado.
