EDINBURG, TEXAS -- The University of Texas-Pan American has been approved as an official site in the state where students can take the Pharmacy College Admission Test.
The PCAT has been endorsed by the American Association of College Pharmacy as the official preferred admission test for entrance to pharmacy school.
UTPA is now one of only 18 test sites in Texas authorized to administer the PCAT.
Previously, the closest testing site to the Rio Grande Valley was in Kingsville.
The exam test dates have been established up to January 2010 and students can begin to register now.
The first exam offered at UTPA will be on June 20, 2009.
Students may register online by clicking here.
The test fee is $150.
The PCAT is a specialized test that helps identify qualified applicants to pharmacy colleges.
