EDINBURG, TEXAS -- South Texas Business, Education & Technology Academy (BETA) and South Texas Preparatory Academy (STPA) will host a Community Health Fair on Wednesday, March 11.
The health fair is open to public and will run from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at BETA’s Juan C. Ortiz Gymnasium in Edinburg.
Visitors can receive free vision, blood pressure and glucose checks, body mass index (BMI) measurements and many other health services.
They can also pick up information and apply for federal and state social service programs, such as Medicaid, Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) and Lone Star food card.
Senior citizens, families with young children and people with a family history of diabetes or heart disease are especially encouraged to attend the health fair.
Door prizes will be given away.
