A Brownsville school zone has the all the makings of a safe area for children except for one small detail.

Brownsville City Manager Charlie Cabler promised action and issued the following statement:
Mr. Wolf,
I appreciate you informing us of the issue’s at the Reynaldo Garza School located on Esperanza Road.
The branches located near the twenty mile speed light have been reported to our public works department and they will be on there way to trim such.
The issue of speed in the area will be reported to Chief Carlos Garcia, Brownsville Police Department and Oscar Garcia - Brownsville Independent School District Police Chief.
We appreciate you reporting the concerns to us and we assure that will take the appropriate action.
