Police said a young father who allegedly exposed his 2-month-old baby girl to marijuana in a Brownsville hotel room.
Brownsville police said they were called out to the Boca Chica Inn and Suites on Saturday.
Employees and guests were complaining that two men were smoking marijuana inside Room 118.
The other men left the the hotel but officers saw Daniel Wayne McKnight going inside the room.
McKnight let police inside the room and that's when officers officers found his 2-month-old daughter inside the room that allegedly reeked of marijuana.
Brownsville Sgt. Jimmy Manrrique told Action 4 News that McKnight was arrested under injury to a child and possession of marijuana marijuana charges.
Manrrique said the baby was examined by a doctor and given a clean bill of health.
Child Protective Services took custody of the baby girl until another family member could be reached.
