Texas Department of Public Safety troopers are asking for help in a fatal hit-and-run accident in Lopezville.

Investigators said the accident happened at the intersection of Minnesota Road and Rodriguez street at 3 a.m. Sunday.

State Troopers said Jose Luis Garcia was struck while walking on the side of the road.

The driver fled the scene leaving the 55-year-old San Juan man to die from his injuries.
