Dozens of Rio Grande Valley residents gathered in McAllen on Sunday to remember the 67th anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack.
Veterans from many wars and their families gathered and shared their experiences and memories.
During the ceremony, Beto Rodriguez was honored for all his efforts in making McAllen's Veterans Memorial possible.
The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941 prompted the United States to enter World War II.
Only dozens of survivors remain alive with a handful living in the Valley.
