Harlingen teen shot in westside driveby

Violence continues to plague Harlingen's westside.

Harlingen police told Action 4 News that they are investigating an early Friday morning driveby shooting that left an 18-year-old in hospital. 

Investigators said the teen was shot at 901 West Hanson Street around 2 a.m. Friday.

Police said the 18-year-old was taken to Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen where his condition was not clear.

Authorities are on the lookout for a blue older model Chevy truck believed to have been involved in the shooting.

Anyone with information on this shooting, is asked to call the Harlingen Police Department at (956) 427-8787.
