MCALLEN -- You've probably heard the name Habitat for Humanity, which is the non-profit group that helps build homes for the disadvantaged.
Well, the group has an outlet store in McAllen, located at 412 W. Ash Ave.
The store is filled with all kinds of stuff to help you remodel your own home.
"From bedding, even carpets,” said Hector Longoria Jr., the warehouse director. “Anything you want for your house, you can find it here."
But the inventory changes weekly.
One of the most expensive remodeling projects facing homeowners is their kitchen, which can run into the tens of thousands of dollars.
At this outlet store, you may get lucky and find kitchen cabinets that normally run about $5,000 for 80 percent less or for about $1,000.
Now that's a deal.
