The sound of firing muskets and cannon blasts will fill the air on Saturday, March 8th and 9th at the 5th Annual Texas Independence Day Celebration.

It's an event the city of San Benito is inviting the community to attend.

Jack Ayoub and Ruben Cordova explained more about what you can expect at this event.

It'll all go down at the fairgrounds in San Benito and they'll focus on educating the public about Texas' Independence and a celebration to cap things off.

Enjoy some great food, live music and fireworks (weather permitting).
