Baby airlifted to hospital after being ejected in McAllen auto accident

A 1-year-old baby has been airlifted to a hospital following an accident that left at least eight other people injured.

McAllen police reported that the accident happened off North Glasscock Road and Highway 107 after 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Investigators said a total of nine people were injured in the accident.

Police said a 1-year-old baby was ejected from a vehicle.

The baby was not responding prompting authorities to airlift the child to the McAllen Medical Center.

The baby's medical condition is not known at this time.
