Authorities temporarily closed down a well-travel intersection following an accident where an 18-wheeler ended up on its side.

It all happened on the northbound frontage road of Expressway 77/83 just north of New Hampshire Avenue around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Harlingen police believe the 18-wheeler was making a left turn and headed north when it fell over on its side.

Firefighters were also called to the scene where some of the 18-wheeler's diesel fuel had reportedly spilled on the roadway.

No injuries were reported in the accident but authorities temporarily shut down that section of the northbound frontage road to clear the accident.
