Two tractor trailers caught fire in Rio Grande City Saturday morning.

The fire started near the Rio Grande City International Bridge in a vacant lot.

Officials said the two truck drivers were parked in the lot to rest.

The drivers were not inside the tractor trailers when the trucks suddenly caught fire.

Rio Grande City Fire Department responded to the scene around 10 a.m.

They were able to get the fire under control, but one truck was completely destroyed by the flames.

Officials said they did not want to limit resources, so they are letting the fire burn.

Both trucks contained large bundles of cotton in the trailer beds.

No injuries were reported.
