Fatal hit and run in San Benito

At  around 3 am Sunday morning officers from the San Benito Police Department were dispatched to the 3100 block of FM 2220,  also known as Sam Houston,  in reference to a fatal auto pedestrian crash.

Upon arriving at the scene officers located a Hispanic male subject who looked to have suffered serious injuries.

The incident is still under investigation and no suspects have been identified.
           
Officers believe a suspect vehicle, possible early to mid 90's model Chevy truck or SUV was involved in the crash.

The vehicle should have damage to the right side the body.

Anyone with information is asked to call San Benito Police at (956) 361-3880.
