Authorities are investigating an accident where a car ended up being crushed by an 18-wheeler in San Benito.

It all happened on the northbound lanes of Expressway 77/83 at FM 509 just after 6:30 p.m. Friday.

Details were not immediately avaiable but the accident involved a white Chevrolet Malibu and an 18-wheeler.

Firefighters were called to the scene to use the Jaws Of Life to extract the driver of the car from the white car.
