Authorities are investigating a fire that started aboard an RV trailer along Highway 77 near Sebastian.

It all happened on the northbound lanes of the highway near Sebastian around 9 a.m. Saturday.

No injuries were reported but Raymondville firefighters were called to the scene.

Investigators reported that the RV trailer had been left abandoned on the side of the road earlier this week.

The RV was filled with trash that caught on fire consuming the entire unit.

It's not clear what caused the fire but the case remains under investigation.
